Grading Policy
Projects will be graded with various rubrics (click on link below to view a sample rubric).
The quarterly grade will be based on:
Participation is based on:
Graded rubrics may be brought home. It is preferable to keep some artwork in school until June.
Work is kept “in house” for various art shows and exhibits that occur during the year. If work is brought home, please keep work flat, and covered (preferably in a portfolio case or between two pieces of cardboard), in the event you may want to use the work toward a college or AP portfolio in the future.
If students wish to redo a project to raise their grade, they have one week from the due date to do so and it must be done on their own time.

- Effort & Participation 20%
Participation is based on:
- work habits (promptness, working immediately upon arrival, working actively and daily on assigned projects, cleaning up/maintaining workspace)
- preparedness (assignments must be ready for review on the date of deadline)
- communication (accepting feedback, giving constructive feedback to others, and participating in class critiques).
